Podcast #3-- Beginning to do research

So...this third podcast was quite a bit different for me to put together. Editing was not so bad, but filming was. For whatever reason, it took me forever to get what I had to say on tape. I was keeping track of the number of takes I filmed, and it was getting ridiculous. I tried not to adlib too much, and had written out a script, but somehow, just couldn't read the script. I ended up with about 35 minutes of footage that I to watch and sort through. Not the most enjoyable experience. The upside...as frustrating as it was, I did like having so many options to pick from for each segment. Instead of one or two takes to pick from I had 10 to 12. The downside...I thought that I was more succint than I was. I again, apparently adlibbed more than was necessary. I again apologize for the length of my podcast.

Conversely, I found editing to be much easier. iMovie is no longer the devil, and it's actually fun to put a piece together (minus the awkwardness of watching yourself talk). I hope it shows that I feel more comfortable editing now. I don't many tricks, but I hope the ones I use are getting better.

My overall goal for this podcast was to talk about a few of the interesting authors I have come across so far in my research. Hopefully, I was coherent and didn't bore people to tears.
